7 ideas for island-hopping holidays

John KarkalatosAugust 12, 2021

Did you know that you can go on road trips in the Aegean? It's called island hopping, in greek it's rendered "from island to island", and it's much easier than you may think. Read below instructions as well as 7 ideas that I suggest.

In summer the ferry routes are increasing and it's easier than ever to go from one island to another thus making your holidays more exciting. Boarding and disembarking times are more reasonable and the isolated islands become more social.

It's very important that in the summer the ferry company Sea Jets gets active, which operates in the Cyclades with high-speed and catamaran vessels, making the routes fast and comfortable.

What are the secrets of island hopping?

  1. it takes at least 8 days for 2 islands: one day in between you'll dedicate it for the trip, if the islands are close to each other you'll only lose a few hours and not the whole day
  2. pay attention to the islands: big or small, cosmopolitan or quiet, close to each other or far away? The choices depend on your preferences.

The routes were designed with the aid of the search engine vrisko.gr which makes such searches literally very easy (search dates 8/8 to 10/8/2021)
