I saw the hidden paradise of Romvi islet
In the bustling and touristy Tolo in Argolis, the last thing you would expect is a small paradise hidden away untouched by man and mass tourism. And yet as unlikely as this scenario may sound it is absolutely real.

Next to the battered Tolo beach where the buildings have been built on the sand, the pristine landscape of Romvi is hidden, an ordinary landscape at first glance but if you stay a little longer you will discover its unexpected beauty.
There is a bay with a heavenly sandy beach that can only be visited by boat, private or rented for those with experience. In the middle of the bay is a smaller islet, Daskalio, with the old church of Zoodochos Pigi which celebrates on September 8th and you may go by boat to the holy leitourgi like at the Holy Apostles in Koronisi.

Daskalio
And no I didn't go there by boat but I sent my drone through an opening in the mountains to capture the landscape. It had to follow a specific course with little room to maneuver so as not to lose the signal, that's how well hidden this paradise is. Daskalio was out of range so I saw it from afar.
Below is a list of the hotels I recommend to stay in Tolo:

Romvi is also known by the nickname "Aphrodite's breasts" because the mountain peaks resemble breasts.

Another way to go there is by sea excursions from Nafplio with Nafplio4Sail and from Tolo harbour.
Although small the islets have a long history in relation to their size. They were a refuge for the locals from the 4th to the 7th century AD during the invasions of the Slavs and Visigoths, which is why they also have the ruins of a settlement. The western peak also has a castle built by the Venetians while Daskalio is also fortified. The islets are declared archaeological sites.

The slogan "HANDS OFF THE ISLAND" is written on Romvi because at the time of the memorandums there were strong rumors that it would be granted to a private investor by the Hellenic Development Fund, which fortunately did not happen.
