Christmas Ellinikon Experience Park

I visited Ellinikon Experience Park during the christmas holidays as the most attractive park for Christmas children's entertainment in the southern suburbs of Athens and it satisfied me, my children and nephews more than anything.

For me it is the best choice for a christmas park in the southern suburbs. I'll start with the basic fact that with the large parking lot you won't have to worry about parking. It is not near a Metro station so it is not easy to visit it by public transport.

A very economical park compared to others in Athens because there is no entrance fee or games to pay for. I only paid for the carousel €3 for each child. Then you pay only for what you eat and drink, all activities are free.

The decoration is really amazing and creates a magical atmosphere, what we would call christmas magic! The gardens are decorated with purple lights while the trees are decorated with warm colored lights.

For the carousel you have to book an online ticket. Then you either show it to the teller or he finds it himself digitally. If you haven't booked it earlier there is no problem to do so at that moment. The water maze is impressive but I don't recommend it because if the child's clothes get wet it will probably mean an early end to the stroll. Any child who wants to can play on the wooden playground.

The christmas park exceeded my expectations, a pretty impressive and tall christmas tree, the lighting of the hangars (aircraft parking lot) pretty impressive with changing patterns and colours. I really liked the low volume christmas music while another advantage is that there are no crowds, the spaces are very large and less crowded compared to parks in the city center.

It has the following booths: confectionery workshop, face painting, painting and fairy tales. My 9 year old daughter and niece thoroughly enjoyed it, they visited all four booths. My 7 year old son didn't visit any and my other 5 year old niece only the face painting, so they didn't enjoy it that much.

There are canteens where you can enjoy salty and sweet flavours to be pleased children and adults alike!

Overall everything was excellent. I believe that those in the southern suburbs and especially in the municipalities around Elliniko should be their top choice.
