Agia Marina beach in Symi
Symi is well-known for its beaches and Agia Marina is one of those that gives it its reputation. It is so beautiful that the pictures speak for themselves, the crystal blue waters draw you to dive in.
First of all it is the nearest beach to Gialos, the port of Symi, and you may go there by boat or alternatively by hiking from Pedi.

Most of it is a concrete platform with sun loungers, as you see in the photos, and only a small part is a sandy beach. What you need to know is that there is no free space so you definitely have to rent a sun lounger. The sun loungers are usually reserved in advance while the front ones have different charges than the ones further back.
You will find a bar and a restaurant with specialties such as Symi shrimp, seafood packeri, linguine with eel and shrimp risotto.
If you are in Rhodes I recommend the full-day boat trip to Symi and Panormitis.
If you are in Symi then I recommend the bus trip to Panormitis Monastery.
You can easily swim to the islet in the middle of the bay with the church of Agia Marina.
