The pan-European delays have left the vaccinations against covid-19 in Greece behind schedule, as of today, February 17, only 177,000 Greeks have been vaccinated with the 2nd dose.
At the current rate, about 15,000 vaccinations per day, only 2,000,000 Greeks will have received the second dose on June 30, less than 20% of the total population.
The pace is sure to increase in the coming months, as the EU has worked on the issues with Pfizer delays and vaccines of more companies are expected to be authorized.
However, it's hopeful that all batches of vaccines delivered to Greece are used, even during the bad weather conditions throughout the country on 16 February vaccinations didn't significantly drop.
To reach the target of 60% in June, vaccinations must soon get triple.
